Search Engine Optimization |
SEO can be mainly
categorized into two.
1. On- page SEO
2. OFF- Page SEO
ON-PAGE SEO: -
On-page SEO can be said as a practice
of linking content regarding the website along with the HTML source code of the
website for increasing their reach in the digital world.
There are many who say that title
tag and the meta description, which is just applied one time are the most
important SEO elements.
The title tag on pages of your
website tells search engines what the page is about. It should be 70
characters or less and include your business or brand name and
keywords that relate to that specific page only.
The meta
description on pages of your website gives search engines a little more
insight into what your page is about.
In simple words, it
helps your search results stand out to the searcher when they are
searching those terms.
OFF-PAGE SEO:-
Besides the work that you can put on
title tag and the meta description for your web-site to rank higher in the
search results, the other work which is a continuous process is called
Off – Page SEO.
SEO cannot help you if you don’t have
good content but along with content proper link building is needed as
there should be enough audience to judge your work.
Search engines are trying to find the
most important pages of the web and show those first when a user enters a
search query.
One of the factors to determine the
position a web page will appear in the results is the number of incoming links. Incoming
links are a signal of trust and depending on where the links are coming, they
can greatly affect your ranking position
Let’s get into the kinds of link
building techniques.
1. Organic Link Building – These are links you don’t have to ask for, and they are the best kind. Especially if you can get them on sites with high authority such as major news outlets and other well-recognized name websites.
2. White hat techniques – This
basically stands for good, quality link building (the way every digital
marketer should take).
3. Black hat techniques – This
stands for spammed, low-quality link building (the way every digital marketer
should not take).
4. Gray hat techniques – This a
combination of both white hat and black hat techniques that the digital
marketers can use but with extreme caution as Google is always changing its
algorithms.
5. Local Search Engine – Local
search is the use of specialized Internet search
engines that allow users to submit geographically
constrained searches against a structured database of local
business listings.
Why Good content is
still the most important success factor SEO Optimization?
Before coming to a conclusion by
reading about all the methods for link building you should not forget
about the quality of content that you should have because without it all the
link techniques regarding On page and Off page SEO will be useless as
your audience won’t like what you present to them.
In other words, if you try to SEO
a website with not very good content your chances of succeeding (in the
long term) are minimum.
