DIGITAL MARKETING IN TODAY'S JOB MARKET

There is no doubt that Digital Marketing is one of the most popular terms in the current business world. One of the reasons for the popularity being the widespread use of the internet by the world population.

Digital Marketing In Today's Job Market
Digital marketing is a branch of Marketing which involves the promotion, branding and sales of products and services of various organisations. It involves the use of digital technologies and devices like the mobile phones where advertisements in the forms of text, images, flash, video, and audio are directly displayed to the potential customers.

As I have mentioned in my previous blog, the Facebook campaign organised by the Real Estate company fetched them more leads that helped them increase their sales through facebook.
This approach, that was done by the company can be categorised under Social media campaigns, which is only a part of Digital Marketing.

Digital marketing approaches such as search engine marketing (SEM), search engine optimisation (SEO),  content marketing, campaign marketing, content automation,  social media marketingsocial media optimisation, etc are becoming more common in our day to day business life. Digital marketing has now extended to non-Internet channels that provide digital media, such as mobile phones (SMS and MMS), callback, and on-hold mobile ring tones.

Digital marketing can work for any business in any industry. Regardless of what the company is selling, digital marketing involves building out buyer personas to identify your audience’s needs and creating valuable online content. The differences only come in the types of implementation of the digital marketing strategies for each business.

A majority of the people may have a concern that, since it’s all done in digital mediums there is a chance that it can get fully automated in future which can eliminate the human factor from it. But it’s actually the opposite. Because even though the techniques, Softwares etc are invaluable, it’s also imperfect.  Combining digital marketing with a human touch helps shape buying behaviour and positive outcomes. Marketing is still based on personal relationships, and that’s something no piece of technology can build.

It’s said that there will be 150,000 digital jobs by 2020, and there aren't enough professionals to fill them. If you are looking for a career where you can work along with a constant change in technology, where every day brings a new challenge, Digital Marketing is your answer.
